This is the Privacy Policy of the National Association of State Charity Officials (“NASCO”). The official website of NASCO is www.nasconet.org. NASCO is committed to protecting the privacy of its members and of individuals who visit the NASCO website. NASCO collects personal information about individuals who choose to provide it to NASCO in order to subscribe to the Latest News blog. This information typically includes the user’s email address. NASCO uses the third party service Jetpack to maintain its email subscription service. In addition to collecting email addresses from users who wish to subscribe to NASCO’s Latest News blog, Jetpack’s web servers automatically collect information from users who browse NASCO’s website, such as Internet protocol (IP) addresses, the general location where the user’s computer is accessing the Internet, the average time spent on NASCO’s website, pages viewed, information searched for and other relevant statistics. This information is collected by using tracking technologies, known as “cookies.” “Cookies” are small text files that a website saves on a computer or mobile device when an individual visits a website. Cookies assist NASCO in enhancing a user’s experience when visiting the NASCO website by helping NASCO understand how people use the site so that NASCO can better serve its members and users. NASCO uses a Twitter account to assist it in communicating or interacting with the public. Generally, NASCO does not collect, disseminate, or maintain any personally identifiable information (PII) that you make available through Twitter. NASCO uses reasonable security technologies and procedures to protect users’ personal information from unauthorized access, use or disclosure.
